A log lodge on its own pond, by Lake Superior.
Sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms, with a sauna, a fire pit and 2 trails from the door, in the pines about 14 minutes east of Marquette, Michigan.

Fly in over the pines, then walk every room.
Step inside the 360° tourHand-hewn logs, and one big room for everyone.
Massive logs and timber beams over a great room of deep sofas and windows onto the pines. The breakfast bar is one live-edge slab of wood, and the primary suite has a sitting room and a writing nook of its own, with 4 more bedrooms beyond it.

The sauna, then the fire pit.
Come back from the trail to the sauna inside the lodge, then out to the fire pit on the bank of the pond, all 10 of you around it. In the morning, the coffee goes out onto the deck.

Every season starts at the door.
A page for each season, because the lodge is a different place in each. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail and the North Country Trail both cross the lodge’s land: walk, bike, ski or snowshoe straight out, and in winter ride the snowmobile trails from the lodge.
The trails from the door
Winter
About 100 inches of snow at the lake, the UP200 and the ski marathon, ride-in ride-out snowmobile trails, and a sauna to come home to.

The quiet season: waterfalls at snowmelt, the ice going out on the big lake, and daylight back to nearly 16 hours by June.

Summer
The beach across the road, days to 9:46 pm, and summer evenings by the water.

Fall colors
The color reaches the lakeshore in early to mid October, just after the hills inland.

Marquette, about 14 minutes away.
West along the shore are the town’s breweries, restaurants and harbor, with Presque Isle Park about 25 minutes from the lodge. East, Munising and the cliffs of Pictured Rocks are about 34 minutes by car.
